Context

1- Context

While the right to food protects the right of all human beings to be free from hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition, in accordance with the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights adopted by 170 states, nearly 5 million Haitians suffer without being able to feed themselves. Faced with the inability of the Haitian State to help the most vulnerable part of the population, only local and international solidarity can facilitate the country’s exit from this chaos, through sustainable investment in agriculture. It is in this perspective that the Global Action for Holistic Development (GAHD) is developing the ”Let’s Go Farmers” project to help solve the problem of hunger in a sustainable way.
